01

What material do you use to build your gates?

Aluminum moves more than steel with every temperature swing — and the welds take that movement.

Unlike many of our competitors, we build our gates from heavy-gauge steel to provide exceptional strength, durability, and long-term reliability. While many manufacturers choose aluminum, we believe steel offers superior performance for a gate that’s built to last.

Our decision to use steel isn’t based on it being the cheaper option. The cost savings are simply an added benefit. Our choice is driven first and foremost by durability—we choose steel because we believe it produces a stronger, more stable, and longer-lasting gate.

Aluminum is generally more susceptible to bending under heavy loads or impact and expands and contracts more significantly with temperature changes. Over time, this movement can place additional stress on welds and joints, potentially contributing to premature wear, cracking, and costly repairs. By using heavy-gauge steel, we build gates designed to withstand years of daily use, changing weather conditions, and the demands of a high-quality property entrance.

02

How do you paint your gates?

To paint our gates, we use a conventional pneumatic spray gun. We begin by caulking any seams or edges where water could collect and potentially cause rust, using a highly UV- and water-resistant polyurethane sealant that also creates a clean, seamless finish. The gates are then primed with a marine- and industrial-grade alkyd primer, followed by a compatible marine topcoat in any desired color for a durable, long-lasting finish.

03

How long does it take from ordering a gate until it's installed?

Generally four to eight weeks. Lead times vary depending on your location and how full the shop’s schedule is when you order.

04

Do you deliver and install?

Yes, we deliver and install in most states. Installation and delivery are included at no additional charge for locations within 100 miles. Locations beyond 100 miles will incur an additional delivery charge based on the distance.

To ensure a smooth installation, we’ll guide you through the process of setting your gate posts or coordinate directly with your local contractor to make sure everything is installed to our specifications.

By having the posts properly set before we arrive, we can complete the gate installation efficiently and ensure everything fits and functions exactly as intended.

05

Do you install gate operators?

No, and that’s on purpose. We focus on what we do best—building high-quality custom gates. We’re happy to work with your local gate operator installer by welding on any required hardware or making other preparations before delivery. We recommend having your local installer handle the operator installation and final setup, as they’ll be readily available for adjustments, service, or any issues that may arise after installation. Since many of our gates are shipped out of state, relying on a qualified local installer ensures you receive prompt support whenever it’s needed.
