What happens to what you send us.

What the quote form collects

Your name and a phone number, which are required. Optionally, your email address, the gate design you are starting from, the width of your opening, your town or parish, a message, and a photograph of your entrance.

A photograph taken on a phone can carry the date, time and place it was taken inside the file. We receive the file exactly as you send it, so if you would rather we did not have that, turn off location for your camera before you take the picture.

Where it goes

Your request is emailed to J&L and read by us. That is the only place it goes. It is not sold, it is not added to any list, and it is not shared with anyone else — the company that built and maintains this site does not receive a copy.

The site is hosted by Cloudflare, which carries that email and keeps short-lived technical logs of requests to the site — the network address a request came from, the page it asked for, and when — for a few days. When you submit the form, that network address is also used, only in the moment, to stop the form being flooded.

How long we keep it

For as long as we need it to answer you, and to build your gate if you go ahead. To see what we have, correct it, or have it deleted, call 337-592-0543 and ask.

Cookies and analytics

This site sets no cookies of its own and stores nothing in your browser. Cloudflare, which protects the site from automated traffic, sets one cookie, named cf_clearance. It records that your browser passed Cloudflare's check so it is not repeated, it holds nothing about you, and it lasts up to a year.

Cloudflare Web Analytics also runs on every page. It counts visits and records the address of the page, the page you came from, your browser type, your country, and how quickly the page loaded. It uses no cookies, and Cloudflare states that it does not identify individual visitors and does not follow you across other websites.

Nothing on this site tracks you across other websites, and no other party collects information about you here to do so. Because of that, the site does not change its behavior in response to a browser's "Do Not Track" signal.

The links to Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and Etsy take you to those sites, which have their own policies.

Children

This site is for homeowners and contractors. It is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes to this page

If what we do changes, this page and the date at the top change with it. We have no way to notify you individually, so this page is the record.
